Is indoor teak furniture legal to export?
Yes, when the paperwork is in order. Indonesia runs SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu), the mandatory national timber-legality system, compulsory for timber-industry entities since January 2013 and grounded in Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 8 of 2021. Since 1 January 2013, timber exports must carry a V-Legal Document, and since 1 January 2015 all wooden furniture except bamboo needs a V-Legal furniture export licence.
