Teak Garden Furniture Exporter | Jepara FOB Container

Teak Furniture Exporter is a Jepara-based teak garden furniture exporter shipping SVLK-legal outdoor sets, benches and loungers to garden-furniture importers and retailers across the EU, Australia and the US. We supply grade A and B solid jati, kiln-dried to roughly 8-12% moisture, custom or OEM, FOB container from Central Java — priced by quotation, not a fixed list.

Jepara has been Indonesia’s furniture town for generations, and outdoor teak (jati) is what its workshops build best. Teak’s natural oils and tight heartwood grain let a well-made garden bench sit under EU rain, Australian sun or a US patio winter and keep its structure — which is exactly why importers and hospitality buyers ask for it by name.

What does a teak garden furniture exporter actually ship?

Our outdoor range is built for gardens, terraces, pool decks and resort landscaping. Everything is solid teak — not veneer, not teak-look — with mortise-and-tenon joinery and marine-grade or hot-dip hardware where a piece folds, extends or stacks.

  • Garden seating: benches (2-seat to 5-seat), stacking and folding chairs, deep-seating sofa sets, Adirondack-style loungers.
  • Sun loungers & steamers: reclining sun loungers, day beds, plantation steamer chairs.
  • Outdoor dining: fixed and extending dining tables, bar sets, bistro sets, 6-to-10 seat garden dining suites.
  • Structure & accessory: planters, garden benches with storage, side tables, teak decking tiles.

Grade A uses heartwood with tighter, more even grain for premium and hospitality projects; grade B is the more economical option for volume retail programs. Both are kiln-dried (oven/kiln-dry) so the timber is stable before it ever leaves Java.

What does teak garden furniture cost to export?

There is no single “garden furniture price.” No government or trade body publishes FOB figures for Indonesian teak — pricing is set commercially, per piece and per specification, and confirmed by quotation against your item list. The USD figures below are indicative examples only, as of 2026 and subject to change; they move with grade (A heartwood vs B), construction, finish and how efficiently the pieces cube out a container.

Garden piece (example) Typical grade Indicative FOB example (USD, 2026) Moves with
Stacking / folding chair B 45 – 85 Grade, hardware, finish
3-seat garden bench A / B 110 – 220 Length, grade, joinery
Reclining sun lounger A / B 150 – 290 Mechanism, cushion, grade
Deep-seating sofa (single) A 180 – 340 Frame section, finish
8-seat extending dining set A 950 – 1,700 Table size, chair count, grade

Treat these as a starting frame, not a quote. Two container loads of the same bench can price differently once finish, cushions and packing are fixed. The honest number is the one that comes back against your actual specification.

Which grades and finishes can we lock into your spec?

Spec item Options Note
Grade A (heartwood) / B A for hospitality & premium retail
Moisture (kiln-dry) ~8-12% MC Confirmed on order, not assumed
Finish Natural sanded, teak-oiled, brushed, weathered-grey, painted Outdoor teak silvers over time
Hardware Stainless / hot-dip galvanised For folding, extending, stacking
Cushions Sunbrella-type outdoor fabric (sourced separately) Optional, adds to FOB

How does ordering work?

Ordering a container of garden teak is a sequence, not a checkout. Here is the path most importers and retailers follow with us:

  1. Send your item list. Share pieces, quantities, target grade and destination port via the quote form (csh_cargo = teak garden furniture), WhatsApp or email.
  2. Get an indicative FOB quote. Jepara workshops price your specification; you receive an indicative FOB figure and a container-mix plan (20ft vs 40ft HC).
  3. Approve samples & spec. We confirm grade, moisture, finish and hardware — optionally against a physical sample or a factory/warehouse visit.
  4. Production & legality docs. Pieces are built and kiln-checked; SVLK/V-Legal and export documents are prepared for the shipment.
  5. FOB container loading. Goods are consolidated and loaded FOB a Java port (typically Semarang/Tanjung Emas or Surabaya); you receive the bill of lading and document pack.

MOQ is usually set so a mixed 20ft or 40ft container cubes out economically, rather than by a fixed piece count. Flat-packable pieces (folding chairs, knock-down tables) ship more per container than fully assembled deep-seating.

Is your outdoor teak legal for the EU market?

Yes — and this matters more for garden furniture than most buyers expect. Indonesian teak export requires SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu), the country’s mandatory national timber-legality system, compulsory for all timber-industry operators since January 2013. Since 1 January 2015 all wooden furniture except bamboo needs a V-Legal / SVLK export licence, and plantation teak is explicitly in scope.

For Europe, Indonesia was the first country in the world to issue FLEGT licences, starting November 2016. A FLEGT-licensed shipment automatically meets the old EU Timber Regulation, letting your importer place it on the EU market without separate due-diligence risk management.

The newer concern is EUDR — the EU Deforestation Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1115), adopted in 2023. It goes beyond legality: wood products must be deforestation-free (produced on land not deforested after 31 December 2020) and legal, backed by a due-diligence statement and plot-level geolocation. SVLK and FLEGT alone do not by themselves guarantee EUDR compliance, and full application phases in around end-2026 — making it a live 2027 question for EU garden-furniture buyers. We prepare the legality documentation for each shipment; final customs and EUDR acceptance rests with the destination authority and your importer, so confirm current requirements with them. We do not sell customs, EUDR or durability guarantees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can teak garden furniture be left outside all year, or does it need treating?

Solid teak is built to live outdoors — its natural oils resist rot without treatment, and untreated pieces weather to a soft silver-grey patina. Oiling only restores the honey colour; it is cosmetic, not structural. We do not guarantee a fixed lifespan, since exposure, climate and care vary. Confirm finish and expectations on your order spec.

Which teak garden furniture pieces can you export, and can they be OEM or private-label?

We export garden benches, stacking and folding chairs, sun loungers, day beds, deep-seating sofa sets and extending dining suites in grade A or B solid jati. Custom sizes and OEM or private-label production are standard — your designs, dimensions and branding, built in Jepara workshops. Send drawings or references with your item list for a spec-based quote.

Will EU garden-furniture buyers need EUDR paperwork for teak in 2027?

Likely yes. The EU Deforestation Regulation covers wood products with full application phasing in around end-2026, so EU importers should plan for due-diligence statements and plot-level geolocation from 2027. SVLK and FLEGT cover legality but do not by themselves satisfy EUDR. We prepare the documentation; acceptance is decided by your destination authority and importer, so verify current rules with them.

How many teak garden sets fit in a container, and is furniture shipped flat-pack?

It depends on the mix. A 40ft high-cube holds far more folding chairs or knock-down tables than fully assembled deep-seating. We plan the load so the container cubes out economically rather than to a fixed count. Flat-packable pieces ship denser; bulky assembled sets ship fewer. Goods load FOB a Java port such as Semarang or Surabaya.
